NUSSKIPFEL (Nut filled Crescents)

2 c. flour
1 c. butter
1 pkg.  8 oz.  Cream cheese
Mix the ingredients, on the left, until firm and place in the refrigerator overnight.  Next day take a small amount of the dough and roll it into about a 7 inch circle, about 1/8 inch thick.  Cut into pie shaped wedges.  Place a little filling at the outside of the circle on each wedge.  Roll up stating at the wide part and roll toward the point.  Shape into crescents, place on cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees until done.

Filling

1 c.  ground nuts
c. sugar
3 egg whites
Combine ground  nuts and sugar.  Beat egg whites until very stiff and fold nut mixture into stiff whites.  Place a little on each wedge and roll up.  When cookies are done, roll either in granulated or confectioners sugar.
